Here is a basic plan to try if you need some variet in your morning daily devotions:
Use the Acrostic P.R.A.Y.E.R.
Quiet Time Ministries came up with a focused approach I modified.
P - Prepare in Prayer - Welcome the Lord into your heart in prayer
R - Read & Study God’s Word - Read & meditate on the Scriptures
A - Appreciate Others Insights - Read from a devotional book
Y - Yield to God - Ask God for an application for that day
E - Enjoy His Presence - Be still and enjoy God’s presence (sing!)
R - Remember - Choose a verse to memorize and write it out
